Martti Enäjärvi

A national of Finland, is the President of the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland. He received his University degree (LLM) in 1969, and was trained on the bench as Senior Lawyer in 1972. His former professional occupations included e.g. Expert Lecturer and Professor of Helsinki University of Technology (1971-1975) and Director in the Finnish industry. He was Chair of WIPO General Assembly 1989-1991. He has been Chair of Finnish Delegations related to IPR since 1986 at Diplomatic Conferences as well as WIPO. He has also been President and Vice-President of several IPR-organisations (e.g. Strasbourg Union, Budapest Union, Locarno Union). He has been a Member of the Administrative Council of the EPO since 1996 and the Chair of the Administrative Board, Advisory Committee and Pre-Selection Committee of the OHIM (EU Office in Alicante). Mr Enäjärvi has written articles and given lectures on various subjects such as industrial property law, company law, environmental law, international law and management skills in Finland and in the in the Forums of WIPO on several continents since 1998
